NAHL launches revamped website at nahl.com

November 24, 2015
Today the North American Hockey League (NAHL) is proud to debut of the redesign and launch of their website at www.nahl.com.

The website was redesigned to enhance user functionality, specifically with mobile devices, and has a new look to accentuate the celebration of the NAHL’s 40th anniversary.  The league received some very positive feedback from the layout of the previous website, so the priority for the new design was to keep the user friendly model and enhance it with new graphics, color scheme, players and attention to detail

“NAHL.com has evolved into the epicenter for news and important information involving the North American Hockey League and it is imperative for us the make sure that the user experience is positive when they visit,” said NAHL Commissioner Mark Frankenfeld. “With tens of millions of pageviews per year, statistics tell us that nahl.com is the #1 way that our fans, players, scouts and others get their information regarding the NAHL, so it is important for us to stay up-to-date with changing technology, along with keeping things fresh and easy to navigate through.”

The quick use buttons on the right hand side include link to watch all NAHL games live through their official broadcast provider, FASTHockey.  An NCAA Commitments section is also highlighted.  This past season, the NAHL had 229 NCAA commitments, which was an all-time record in the 40-year history of the league.

Links to the NAHL’s hockey partners NA3HL, NAPHL and NA3EHL are also included.

It also features a link to all of the NAHL’s upcoming events like the annual NAHL Showcase in September, February’s NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in Plymouth, Michigan and the Robertson Cup National Championship Tournament, which takes place annually in May.

The site is the official source for NAHL scores and statistics provided by Pointstreak and additional features such as: the Easton Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week, Player and Defenseman of the Month, Vaughn Hockey Goaltenders of the Month, Gongshow Hockey Flow of the Month, as well as the maps and history of the league, tryout information, hotel and rental car information for all league events and information on league partners and suppliers.

It also includes important pages and information regarding the NAHL Player Safety initiative and Education. The NAHL Department of Player safety was developed to create a safer environment for players, while also educating all team personnel about a safer on-ice environment and the implementation of greater respect for the well being of all players in the NAHL. With the primary goal being advancement of players to the NCAA, the NAHL has gone above and beyond to educate their players and ensure they are informed about the educational process when it comes to advancement. When it comes to advancing players onto the NCAA, the NAHL is one of the best options in North America and one of only two options in the United States that is tuition-free.

The site features also features a section to display the top stories along with additional news features in the press about teams.

The NAHL website was developed by NAHL webmaster John Elftmann with the assistance and input of the NAHL communications department.
