NAHL Graphic Design Intern (2024-2025 Season)

Summary
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Design intern for the 2024-25 season. The individual will assist the NAHL media team in producing high-quality visual assets for various digital and print platforms. The internship offers hands-on experience in sports, while providing valuable insights into the fast-paced world of junior hockey. Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of digital and print marketing materials, including social media graphics, web banners, email newsletters, posters, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the Media team to develop visual concepts that align with the NAHL/NA3HL/NAPHL brand identity and promotional objectives.
- Edit and retouch photography for use in various marketing campaigns and materials.
- Support the design team in brainstorming and developing new ideas for engaging content and campaigns.
- Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a cohesive look and feel across all platforms.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in graphic design and sports marketing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program focusing on Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
- Portfolio demonstrating skills in graphic design, with a focus on digital and print media.
- Passion for hockey and sports in general is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
