Anchorage goalie Robbins makes NCAA DI commitment

August 23, 2022

The Anchorage Wolverines of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that goaltender Raythan Robbins has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of Nebraska-Omaha in the NCHC.

Robbins, 20, just completed his first full season playing in the NAHL and second season of junior hockey overall.

The 6’0/180 lbs. native of Anchorage, Alaska, appeared in 35 games during the 2021-22 regular season and posted a 21-6-7 record. His .922 save percentage ranked 5th in the NAHL and his 2.27 goals against average ranked 6th this past season in the NAHL.

In the Robertson Cup Playoffs, Robbins was even better, posting an 8-2-0 record in 10 games with a 1.89 goals against average and a .948 save percentage, leading the Wolverines to the Midwest Division title and all the way to the Robertson Cup title game.

“I’m proud to announce my commitment to play division 1 hockey at the University of Nebraska Omaha beginning this fall. Thank you to all my family, coaches, and friends for supporting me on this journey,” said Robbins.

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Robbins played youth hockey for Belle Tire, Honeybaked, and the Alaska Oilers.
