Bismarck forward Rudrud makes NCAA DI commitment
The Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Quinn Rudrud has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
Rudrud, 20, is in his second season playing in the NAHL and third season of junior hockey overall. The 6’2/185 lbs. native of Farmington, MN, is having his best career season in 2021-22 as he has recorded 43 points (25 goals, 18 assists) in 50 regular season games played to date.
“I’m extremely honored and blessed to announce my commitment to further my education and play Division 1 hockey at the University of Alaska Fairbanks! A special thanks to my family, friends, coaches, and teammates for helping me get to this point,” said Rudrud.
Earlier this season, Rudrud was selected to and played in the 2022 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Division team where he led the event in scoring with four points in two games.
During the 2020-21 season Rurdud recorded 13 points in 37 games played for Bismarck. He also played in the 2021 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament where he had a goal in two games.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Rudrud played high school hockey in Minnesota for Farmington High and also spent a season in the USHL with the Waterloo Black Hawks.
