Bobcats, RoadRunners advance after Game 5 wins

The defending Robertson Cup champion Bismarck Bobcats and Topeka RoadRunners advanced to the divisional finals of the Robertson Cup Playoffs after winning the decisive Game 5 of their respective semifinals series on Monday.
Forwards Matthew Gates and Blake Schammel (game-winner) scored for the Bobcats in their 2-1 triumph over the Alexandria Blizzard in Game 5 of their Central Division series. Goaltender Ryan Faragher stopped 45 shots in the win.
Forwards Justin Hussar (goal, assist) and Nate Milam (two assists) and defenseman Trevor Campbell all delivered two-point games as the RoadRunners bested the Wichita Falls Wildcats, 4-3, in Game 5 of their South Division series. RoadRunners netminder Rasmus Tirronen made 22 saves in the victory.
The Bobcats will take on the Coulee Region Chill in the Central Division finals, while the RoadRunners will play the Amarillo Bulls in the South finals.
The other teams to advance to the division finals are the North's St. Louis Bandits and Michigan Warriors and West's Fairbanks Ice Dogs and Wenatchee Wild.
