New Jersey Forward Schneid makes NCAA Commitment
The New Jersey Titans of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward James Schneid has committed to play NCAA hockey for Middlebury College in the NESCAC.
First-year skater for the Titans, Schneid will be lacing up with the Panthers in the fall. The 6’0 righty from New York played in 55 games for New Jersey this season. The 21-year-old found the back of the net seven times and produced nine assists. Two of his goals were named the game winner, and he scored one goal on the man advantage.
Schneid is not the only NAHL player to head to Middlebury College in the fall. He will be joined by Landon Brownlee from the Rochester Jr. Americans, John Halverson from the Wisconsin Windigo, Caden Morgan from the Corpus Christi IceRays, Luc Malkhassian from the Austin Bruins, and Tyler Wishart from the St. Cloud Norsemen.
Head coach of the Titans, George Haviland, explains the excitement the New Jersey organization has for Schneid’s next step in his hockey career.
“We’re so proud of James. One of the things that he did tremendously this year was identify what type of player he was and played to his strengths every single day during the season. He made us a better team and gave us a chance to win because of his attention to detail and knowing who he was on our team. James will have an amazing college career at Middlebury. The staff chose a good character and high-end player.”
Schneid is one of 14 members of the New Jersey Titans to make a college ice hockey commitment.
