Jets defenseman Alec McCrea commits to Harvard

February 9, 2012

Janesville Jets, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), have announced that defenseman Alec McCrea has committed to attend school and play NCAA Division I hockey at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Harvard plays in the ECAC Hockey Conference.

McCrea, who is a 6'2", 200 pounder from El Cajon, California, will decide at a later date whether to enter Harvard in the Fall of 2013 or 2014.  He was born January 12, 1995.

In 35 regular season games with the Jets this season, the solid defender has two points and is a +11 in +/- ratings.

He is the second Jets player to commit this season as he joins fellow Jets defenseman Garrett Cecere, who committed earlier this season to NCAA Division I Colorado College.
