Bruins 4-2 win on Wednesday delights big home crowd

Coulee Region 2 @ Austin 4 - The Austin Bruins got off to a fast start, but had to work to hold on to a 4-2 win over the Coulee Region Chill in Riverside Arena Wednesday.  The Bruins drew 1,228 fans for the Wednesday night game.  The Bruins came out with plenty of energy as they scored three goals in the first 12 minutes of the game.  Matt Hansen, CJ Smith and AJ Reid all scored for Austin in the 1st period.  Much to the delight of the large crowd, the Bruins sealed the deal with a late goal in the third period and came away with a 4-2 win in the North American Hockey League game. Hansen's power play goal just 2:37 into the game gave the Bruins a lead they would never lose.  The Chill scored two straight goals from Ben Jaremko and Tommy Miller to make it 3-2 in the second period and the Bruins finally put the game away when John Simonson scored with 50 seconds left in the game.  Tyler Bruggeman finished with 26 saves in the win for Austin, while Aaron Davis made 30 saves in the loss for the Chill.  Boxscore
