Avs' Zierden commits to River Falls

March 18, 2008

The Alaska Avalanche has announced that defenseman Teddy Zierden has committed to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (NCHA) for next season.

The 20-year-old Zierden, from Sartell, Minn., has a goal for nine points after 54 games this season.

“Teddy is a good, solid defenseman with outstanding character and will contribute right away to a tradition-rich program like River Falls,” said Avalanche coach Jamie Smith
