Outlaws make addition to staff
The North Iowa Outlaws have announced the addition of Bob Thoms to their staff.
Thoms will join the Outlaws as the team's business manager, working with the day-to-day operations while overseeing the marketing, ticket sales and game-night operations of the team.
Thoms currently works with Principal Financial Group of Mason City as an IT Quality Assurance Analyst. As a 43-year-resident of North Iowa, the Outlaws have become a passion of his and he's glad to be a part of the organization.
Thoms will work closely with Jim Stephens, the Outlaws' director of media relations, marketing and ticket sales, to improve the Outlaws' fan base, exposure for the team and sponsorships while managing the business side of the organization.
"Bob is a great addition to the staff," Stephens said. "I'm looking forward to working with him and learning from him. He will bring a lot to the organization with his experience that will help elevate the Outlaws to the next level."
Thoms' wife, Melissa, is entering her second year as the team's housing coordinator. They have two children: Danya (14) and Austin (11).
Austin serves as the team's stick boy, and Danya assists behind the sales table for the Outlaws' Chuck-a-Puck contest.
