Friday Finals: Nordiques make a statement in win over Titans

New Mexico forward Alex Dominique had two goals in a 6-2 win on Friday over Kenai River.

New Jersey 2 @ Maine 7 - Cannon Green scored twice and added an assist as the Maine Nordiques defeated the New Jersey Titans 7-2. Noah Kane and Isaiah Fox chipped in a goal and two assists as well. Cole Ouellette, Kevin Pitts, and Caden Pattison all scored in the win for the Nordiques. Wesley Mankowski stopped 34 shots to earn his first NAHL win. Nick DeSantis and Mitch Machlitt provided the offense for New Jersey. Patrick Pugliese made 31 saves in the loss. 
 
Kenai River 2 @ New Mexico 6 - Alex Dominique scored two goals as the New Mexico Ice Wolves topped the Kenai River Brown Bears 6-2. Brandon Holt and Philip Ekberg had a goal and an assist as well. Spencer Rudrud and Connor Kemp also found the back of the net for New Mexico. Henrik Laursen turned aside 33 shots to get the win in net. Logan Ritchie and Zach Krajnik each had a goal and an assist for the Brown Bears. Landon Pavlisin and Danny Fraga teamed up to make 51 saves. 
 
Janesville 0 @ Chippewa 1 - Luke Farthing scored the only goal of the game and Trent Burnham stopped all 29 shots he faced as the Chippewa Steel won a low scoring affair against the Janesville Jets 1-0. Burnham improved to 9-8 on the year for the Steel. Grant Riley was nearly perfect for Janesville as he stopped 36 of 37 Chippewa shots. 
 
Bismarck 6 @ Aberdeen 4 - Grant Johnson netted two goals while George Grannis and Will Hillman each tallied a goal and an assist as the Bismarck Bobcats took down the first place Aberdeen Wings 6-4. Austin Schwartz and Lars Rodne each scored as well for Bismarck. Ryan Ullan made 25 saves to pick up the win in goal. Jake Beaune, Clayton Cosentino, Spencer Schneider and Riley Murphy all scored goals in the loss for Aberdeen. Henry Welsch made 31 saves for the Wings.
 
MN Wilderness 1 @ Minot 2 - Joseph Harguindeguy scored the game winning goal at the 6:53 mark of the third period as the Minot Minotauros beat the Minnesota Wilderness 2-1. Jack Westlund scored the tying goal for Minot, his eighth of the season. AJ Ruskowski denied 36 Minnesota shots to win his fourth game of the season. Aaron Myers scored the only goal for the Wilderness while Kaleb Johnson made 35 saves. 
 
Fairbanks 3 @ Northeast 1 - Jack Johnston and Oliver Kjaer each had a goal and an assist as the Fairbanks Ice Dogs knocked off the Northeast Generals 3-1. Adam Eisele had the other goal for the Ice Dogs as they improved their point streak to seven games. Mattias Sholl won his 20th game of the year as he made 28 saves. Brady Hunter scored the lone goal for the Generals and Matt Pasquale stopped 32 shots for Northeast.
 
Maryland 3 @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 4 (OT) - Caydon Meyer netted the game winning goal in overtime off an amazing feed from Michael Sacco as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights outlasted the Maryland Black Bears 4-3. Zak Currie and Johnny Kaljian each tallied a goal and an assist. Spencer Kring also netted a goal for the Knights. Alex Contey made 23 saves to grab the win in goal. Andrew Remer, Thomas Jarman and Ethan Heidepriem all lit the lamp for Maryland. Cooper Black denied 39 shots in the loss. 
 
Johnstown 7 @ Jamestown 0 - Colin Price and Tristan Poissant both potted a pair of goals as the Johnstown Tomahawks routed the Jamestown Rebels 7-0. Brendan Blair, Bennett Stockdale and Reed Stark all found the back of the net for Johnstown. David Tomeo stopped all 16 shots thrown his way to pick up his first shutout of the season. Noah West and Jon Howe combined for 17 saves. 
 
Odessa 0 @ Amarillo 4 - Charlie Glockner turned aside 23 shots to earn his league leading seventh shutout of the season as the Amarillo Bulls blanked the Odessa Jackalopes 4-0. Jordan Venegoni had a goal and an assist while Aaron White tallied three assists. Gagik Malakyan, Kyrre Hellerud and Niclas Puikkonen all tickled the twine for Amarillo. Zach Stern made 47 saves for the Jackalopes in the loss.
 
St. Cloud 2 @ Austin 3 - The Austin Bruins won their sixth straight and upped their point streak to nine as they edged the St. Cloud Blizzard 3-2. A three goal second period saw Nathan Solis, Josef Mysak and Hugh Quinn find the back of the net and provide the Bruins with enough cushion to pick up the win. Tyler Shea improved to 5-5-1 as he made 23 saves to get the win in between the pipes. Max Johnson and Ryan Green lit the lamp for St. Cloud while Sam Metcalf made 24 saves. 
 
Shreveport 5 @ Corpus Christi 1 - Five different Mudbugs visited the red light district as they defeated the Corpus Christi IceRays 5-1. Dawson Sciarrino and Timofei Khokhlachev each grabbed a goal and an assist. Jacob Smith, Carson Nichols, and Giovanni Procopio all found the back of the net as well for Shreveport. Maiszon Balboa denied 26 IceRays shots to win his 12th game of the year. Stephen Kyrkostas provided the lone goal for Corpus Christi while Cal Sandquist and Jeremy Forman teamed up for 20 saves.
 
MN Magicians 1 @ Springfield 5 - Caden Villegas scored twice as the Springfield Jr. Blues knocked off the Minnesota Magicians 5-1. Jack Rhode, Carson Jones and Cole Schneider also scored for Springfield in the win. Ryan Wilson made 29 stops for the Jr. Blues. Chris Konin was the only Magician to find the back of the net in the loss while Dysen Skinner and Samuel Vyletelka combined to make 29 saves.
