Phantoms Showcase details announced
The North American Hockey League, in conjunction with the Mahoning Valley Phantoms, announced today details on the Phantoms Hockey Showcase, which will be held January 18-21 at the Boardman Ice Zone in Boardman, Ohio.
The Showcase will feature all teams from the NAHL’s North Division: Mahoning Valley, the U.S. Under-17 Team, St. Louis Bandits, Alpena Ice Diggers, Traverse City North Stars and Marquette Rangers. Each team will play four games over the four days (schedule below).
The event will also feature an eight-team Midget Major AAA tournament. Each Midget team will play four games between Friday and Saturday, with the championship round played on Sunday (participating teams below).
“This is another step forward for our league in terms of exposing and promoting our student-athletes, as well as some of the country’s top Midget players, to the college and professional ranks,” said NAHL commissioner Mark Frankenfeld.

Scout packets will be available at the Ice Zone, which is located at 360 McClurg Rd. in Boardman, Ohio, 44512.
