Knights double up Titans on Tuesday, 4-2

Tomas Koblizek had a pair of assists in a 4-2 win on Tuesday night.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 4 @ New Jersey 2 - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights gave their home ice playoff hopes a big boost on Tuesday night as they picked up a 4-2 road win in New Jersey, moving one point ahead of the Titans for 2nd place in the East Division with just days remaining in the regular season. David Tomeo made 43 saves in the win and Jake Fuss had a goal and an assist.
 
After a scoreless 1st period, the Knights jumped ahead 2-0 with two goals in the span of :09 seconds as Shay Donovan scored his 9th goal of the season and Fuss added his first of the season. New Jersey had an answer as Tyler Antonucci scored his 10th goal of the season with a power play goal late in the period to make it 2-1 after two.
 
In the 3rd period, the Knights went back up by two goals as Fuss and Tomas Koblizek assisted on a goal from Michael Morrissey, his 14th marker of the season. New Jersey again cut the lead to one goal on a tally from Eric Manoukian, but an empty-net goal from Lincoln Hatten and a late penalty shot save from Tomeo earned the Knights the valuable two points.
 
New Jersey goalie Matt Ladd made 30 saves in the loss.
 
With one game remaining, the Knights sit one point ahead of the Titans for 2nd place in the East. The Titans have two games remaining, so they still control their own destiny for the 2nd spot.
