Former Bandit Condra makes NHL debut
Erik Condra, who played in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) with the Texarkana/St. Louis Bandits during the 2003-04 season, made his NHL debut with the Ottawa Senators in their 4-3 shootout loss to the New York Islanders on Tuesday night.
Condra, a forward, picked up an assist on Erik Carlsson's third-period goal that helped send the game into overtime and the eventual shootout.
After his junior career, Condra, from Detroit, played four years at the University of Notre Dame from 2005-09 before beginning his pro career with the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators, Ottawa's top affiliate.
Condra, 24, has appeared in 55 games this season for Binghamton, recording 17 goals for 46 points.
In his season with Texarkana, Condra totaled 20 goals for 44 points in 56 regular-season games.
