Shreveport forward Feduolov makes NCAA DI commitment

November 22, 2017

The Shreveport Mudbugs, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Gueorgui Feduolov has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Mercyhurst University of the Atlantic Hockey Association.

Feduolov, 18, is in his second season playing in the NAHL for the Mudbugs. The 5’9/185 lbs. native of Concord, Ohio, has played in 10 regular season so far this season and recorded 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists). Feduolov has recorded at least a point in five of his last six games.

Feduolov had a very impressive rookie campaign with the Mudbugs last season as he was 4th on the team in scoring with 40 points in 55 games played.

“We would like to congratulate Gueorgui with his commitment to Mercyhurst. He is a 200-foot player that plays hard all over the ice. He exemplifies what a Mudbugs player should be, which is one that wants to come in and work to get better everyday,” said Mudbugs head coach Karlis Zirnis.

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Feduolov played Midget hockey for both Little Caesars in the HPHL and the Cleveland Barons of the Tier 1 Elite League.

He is the sixth player on the current Mudbugs roster that has secured an NCAA Division I commitment.
