The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Adam Pitters has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Bowling Green State University.
Pitters, 18, is a 5’10/161 lbs. forward from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He was the captain for the Grosse Pointe South High School this season before joining the Wings for the final 5 games of the regular season and 11 post-season games.
In those Robertson Cup Playoff games Adam tallied 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists). While with his high school team Adam compiled 27 goals & 39 assists (66 points) in 26 games played.
“Adam plays with a lot of energy and work ethic, he has the ability to make plays and score timely goals. Adam will be a great fit for the Falcons of Bowling Green,” said Wings Head Coach Scott Langer
Bowling Green is located in Bowling Green, Ohio with an enrollment of over 16,000. The Falcons play Division I hockey in the WCHA Conference. Last season Bowling Green went 21-18-2 overall with a 14-13-1 conference record.
“It was an easy decision, I visited a few months ago and fell in love with the campus and facilities. I also talked with the coaches about the history, the way they coach and what kind of players they wanted. I thought I’d fit right in with that description. I couldn’t be happier to be a Falcon. I would like to thank the Aberdeen Wings ownership staff & my teammates,” stated Pitters.
Pitters will plan to join the Falcons in the fall of 2019.
