Rhett Rakhshani, who played in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) as a member of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program (NTDP) from 2004-06, made his NHL debut with the New York Islanders on Monday in a 5-0 loss to the Nashville Predators.

In 56 NAHL games, Rakhshani tallied 25 goals for 53 points.
