Regular season ends with Knights topping Titans, 8-3

Matt Kidney capped off an impressive week with two goals and an assist on Monday in an 8-3 win.

New Jersey 3 @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 8 – Matt Kidney and Vince Marino each had two goals and an assist as the Knights completed their regular season with an 8-3 win at home in the final NAHL regular season game of the 2016-17 season. 
 
The 1st period was even, with each team scoring a goal as Kidney lit the lamp first for the Knights, while Gordie Helmuth scored his 20th of the season for New Jersey.
 
The Knights took control in the 2dn period with three goals, including another from Kidney and others from Paul Maust and Reed Robinson. New Jersey got a goal late in the period from Tiernan Seningen to make it a 4-2 score after two periods.
 
The Knights would then explode for four more goals in the 3rd period to break the game wide open, which included two goals from Marino and others from Adrian Danchenko and Sam Antonitsch. Matthew Headland had the third goal for New Jersey.
 
Liam Murray picked up the win in goal for the Knights, making 21 saves, while Ryan Ferland took the loss with 19 saves.
