April 25, 2016
The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Brendan Riordan has committed to play NCAA hockey at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. UW-Eau Claire is an NCAA Division III program and part of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).

Riordan, 20, just completed his second and final season playing in the NAHL for the Wings. The native of Downers Grove, Illinois played in 59 regular season games this season and had six points.

During the 2014-15 campaign, Riordan (6’0/175) had 12 points in 53 games played.  Overall in his NAHL career, Riordan played in 112 career games and recorded 18 points.

Riordan was signed as a tender back in November of 2013 as he played the two previous seasons for the Chicago Mission 18U team in the HPHL.

He is the third player from the 2015-16 Wings team to commit to play NCAA hockey
