Playoff push continues for Chill in 5-1 win over Jets

Coulee Region 5 @ Janesville 1 – Matiss Kivlenieks made 34 saves as the Chill continue their upward push towards a playoff spot with a big 5-1 road win in Janesville in the lone NAHL game on Thursday night.  The Chill are now just two points out of the 4th and final playoff spot in the Midwest, with two games in hand on 4th place Springfield.
 
After a scoreless 1st period, the Chill took a 2-0 lead in the 2nd period with a power play goal from Kevin Dineen and another goal late in the period from Caleb Schroer.
 
The Chill added three more goals in the 3rd period, which included goals from Joey Sofo, Scott Corbett and Justin Kendall. Adrian Holesinsky had the lone goal for the Jets in the game, which came late in the 3rd period on the power play.
 
Several players had multi-point games for the Chill, including Dineen and Kendall, along with Matt Doran and Larry Jungwirth, who each had a pair of assists. Blake Weyrick made 25 saves in the loss.
