Janesville Jets win NAHL Movember campaign

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) Movember campaign for 2014 has come to an end. It was a fun month of league-wide participation from all the NAHL clubs and it was all about bringing back the mustache, having fun and doing it for a serious cause; men's health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. 

 

For the third straight season, the NAHL partners with Gongshow Gear and its member clubs were a part of Movember involving all 24 teams and the over 550+ players in the league. The players in the NAHL started November 1st clean-shaven and for the rest of the month, these players grew their facial hair to support the Movember campaign.  The mustaches that were grown were a sight to behold.

 

It was a legendary month for the mo’s (players), and the NAHL is pleased to announce the winners of the NAHL’s Movember campaign.

 

In the team category, it was a two-horse race at the end as the Janesville Jets and the Minnesota Wilderness were in a race to the finish to see which team could raise the most funds. 

 

Congratulations go to the Janesville Jets for raising the most funds and winning the NAHL’s Movember campaign.  The Jets raised a total of $3,019 dollars. The Wilderness finished with $1,680 dollars raised. 

 

In the individual player category, Minnesota Wilderness forward Tyler Cline raised the most funds of any NAHL player with a total of $645 dollars.  In 2nd place was Janesville Jets defenseman Alex Smith with $520 dollars.  

 

For raising the most funds, the Janesville Jets will receive a team prize package from Gongshow Gear. Thank you to all who supported the NAHL’s Movember campaign.
