Topeka 7 @ Amarillo 1 – The 1st place RoadRunners scored early and often and they beat the Amarillo Bulls, 7-1 to complete a weekend road sweep. Topeka outshot the Bulls 46-28 and jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two periods. Daniel Rzavsky had two power play goals including the game’s first goal. Daniel Brickley also scored in the 1st period. Beau Dommer, Jasen Fernsler and Rzavsky had 2nd period goals and Brickley and Yu Hikosaka added 3rd period goals. Will Harrison had the lone Bulls goal. Drew Vogler made 27 saves in the win. MN Wilderness 2 @ Fairbanks 4 – The Ice Dogs scored three times in the 3rd period as they completed a weekend sweep of the Wilderness with a 4-2 win on Saturday. The teams were deadlocked at 1-1 after one period as Jacob Hetz scored for the Ice Dogs and Tyler Cline scored for Minnesota. Hans Gorowsky scored twice in the 3rd period to push the lead to 3-1 and Lonnie Clary added an empty-net goal. Alex Toscano scored late for the Wilderness. Chase Munroe made 19 saves for his third straight win. Boxscore

Aberdeen 1 @ Minot 0 – Andrew Shortridge stopped all 31 shots that came his way for his second shutout of the season as the Wings blanked the Minotauros 1-0 to complete a weekend road sweep. The lone goal came late in the 1st period from Michael Soucier with assists to Kyle Haak and Colin O’Neill. Atte Tolvanen made 17 saves in the loss. Boxscore

Austin 3 @ Coulee Region 4 (SO) – It took 18 combined shooters, but the Chill finally outlasted the Bruins to complete a weekend a home-and-home sweep. After the Bruins opened the game with a goal from Luke Dietsch, the Chill answered with three straight goals including two from Dominik Florian and another from Garrett Riebling. The Bruins tied the game with two goals late in the 3rd period from Zach Kennedy and another from Jacob Kullberg, which came with just one second to go in regulation. Nico Luka had the shootout winner. Adam Carlson made 35 saves in the win. Boxscore

Michigan 0 @ Springfield 1 – A power play goal from Jason Dhooghe was enough as the Springfield Jr. Blues completed a weekend home sweep of the Michigan Warriors with a 1-0 win on Saturday. Dhooghe’s goal came midway through the 1st period. Josh Lammon and Michael Crowley picked up assists. Niko Dellamaggorie stopped all 34 shots that came his way for his first career NAHL shutout. Ryan Wischow played well in the loss making 38 saves. Boxscore

Janesville 3 @ MN Magicians 1 – Jared Rutledge made 26 saves in his first start in a Jets uniform as Janesville salvaged a weekend split with the Magicians thanks to a 3-1 win on Saturday. The Jets led 1-0 after the 1st period on a goal from Drew Callin. Lukas Laub answered in the 2nd period for the lone Magicians goal. Late in the 3rd period goals from Dan Kucerovy and Zach Lavalle secured the win. Kyle Patava had two assists in the win. Chris Amsden made 21 saves in the loss. Boxscore

Brookings 3 @ Bismarck 7 – Bismarck exploded for seven goals in a 7-3 win over Brookings earning a weekend split of the home-and-home series. Evan Giesler and Oskars Batna had two goals apiece. Gielser and Batna each had goals in the opening 40 minutes along with Jared Pike as the Bobcats led 3-1 after two periods. Beau Michaud had the lone Brookings goal. In the 3rd period, Bismarck added four more goals included goals from Batna, Giesler, Jared Spooner and Tony German. Other Blizzard goals came from Viktor Lindell and Zach Glienke. Boxscore

Kenai River 2 @ Wenatchee 5 – Zach Quinn made 20 saves against his former club as the Wild snapped their losing skid with a 5-2 win over the Brown Bears in the middle game of a three-game weekend set. Wenatchee jumped out to a 3-0 lead on goals from Ivan Bondarenko, David Powlowski and Ryan Gotelaere. The Brown Bears cut the lead to 3-2 with two straight goals from Colton Fletcher and Austin Chavez, but the Wild would answer twice more on goals from Colin Burston and Brendan Harris. Boxscore

Johnstown 1 @ Soo 3 – The Eagles salvaged a weekend home split with the Tomahawks thanks to a 3-1 win on Saturday. The teams were deadlocked at 1-1 after two periods as Bruno Birzitis scored in the 1st period for the Soo and Dakoda Menslage answered back for the Tomahawks in the 2nd period. It wasn’t until late in the 3rd period that the Eagles finally took the lead as goals from Mitch Vanderburg and Chase Matson secured the win. Sean Keating made 22 saves in the win, while Ryan Bednard made 38 saves in the loss. Boxscore

Rio Grande Valley 3 @ Odessa 2 (SO) – Ben Johansson made 27 saves and stopped five of six shooters in the shootout as the Killer Bees edged the Jackalopes in a shootout, 3-2. After a scoreless 1st period, each team scored once in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Wayland Williams and JB Baker had the goals in regulation for Rio Grande Valley, while Derek Brown and Alex Alger had the goals for Odessa. In the shootout, goals from Guy Roby and Parker Wood for enough for the Killer Bees win. Boxscore
