Wings defenseman Eichstadt makes NCAA DI commitment

The Aberdeen Wings of the NAHL are pleased to announce that defenseman Dillon Eichstadt has made his collegiate announcement this week, commiting to NCAA Division I program Bemidji State University. Bemidji State is a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Eichstadt (6'0/170) becomes the 21st current/former Wings player to make a Division I college commitment in just the program's 4th season of existence. Eichstadt is also the 14th Division I commited player since current head coach Travis Winter took over the program in mid-season during the 2012-13 season.
Eichstadt, a native of Bemidji, played this past season for the Aberdeen Wings scoring four goals and 31 assists for a total of 35 points. His total on assists would be second best on the team.This season, he also represented Team Central at the 2014 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament.
During the 2012-13 season, Eichstadt played for the Wenatchee Wild and Kalamazoo Jr. Wings of the NAHL. In his two-year NAHL career, Eichstadt has 45 points in 86 career NAHL games.

Other Aberdeen NCAA Division I commitments this season are: Erik Baskin (Air Force), Henry Dill (UMass), Jordan Heller (Bemidji State), Jake Horton (UMass), Steven Johnson (Minnesota), Colin O'Neill (UMass-Lowell), TJ Roo (Bemidji State) and Patrick Steinhauser (St. Lawrence).
