Aberdeen, Topeka, Fairbanks and Kenai River win on Thursday

Minot Minotauros 3 @ Aberdeen Wings 6 - Minot scored the first three goals, but the Aberdeen Wings responded scoring six unanswered goals in the final two periods to take a 6-3 win over Minot in North American Hockey League play at Odde Ice Arena.The win snapped a six-game skid for the Wings. Minot started the night with three goals in the first period, including one with just five seconds remaining in the period. Goals came from Jacob Howie, Jon Lizotte and Troy Delger. Bjorn Siguardarson put the Wings on the board less than three minutes into the second period and the floodgates were opened. Jordan Heller and Jake Horton also scored in the period to tie it up, turning the third period into a 20-minute tiebreaker. Patrick Steinhauser notched the go-ahead goal with 6:25 remaining on a short-range blast past the goalie, and Eichstadt tacked on an insurance goal less than a minute later. Austin Bruins 3 @ Kenai River Brown Bears 4 – Zach Quinn made 46 saves as the Brown Bears withstood a furious comeback attempt by the Bruins and scored late to win 4-3 on Thursday night. Things were looking good early in the game for the Brown Bears who jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Alec Butcher scored in the 1st period and Jacob Wolter and Albin Karlsson added 2nd period goals. Newly acquired defenseman Ben Campbell picked up two assists on the opening three goals. Luke Dietsch started the Bruins comeback with a goal late in the 2nd period to make it 3-1. In the 3rd period, Casey Jerry scored as did Lucas Kohls to tie the game at 3-3, but a goal with less than two minutes remaining from Nathan Colwell secured the 4-3 win for Kenai River. Boxscore

Topeka RoadRunners 4 @ Corpus Christi IceRays 0 – An Impenetrable Topeka defense and steady offense sank the Ice Rays 4-0 in game one of a two-game set on Thursday. Sly Sutter scored the game winner late in the first period, finding the net at 17:14 and sending Topeka into the second up 1-0. Daniel Rzavsky and Jake Kamrass added goals in the second period to grow the lead to 3-0 and Jasen Fernsler contributed the team's second power play goal early in the third to finish the scoring. PJ Bridges earned his seventh shutout of the season, making 20 saves. Boxscore

Wenatchee Wild 2 @ Fairbanks Ice Dogs 3 - The Wenatchee Wild took on the Fairbanks Ice Dogs Thursday night in the first of a three-game set at the Big Dipper Ice Arena and it was a late second period goal that proved to be the difference, as the Ice Dogs slipped past Wenatchee 3-2. Chandler Madry opened the scoring for Fairbanks at 13:41 of the opening period. for a 1-0 Ice Dogs lead. The lead grew soon after, on a Taylor Munson goal putting Fairbanks up 2-0. The Wild got on the board early in the second, as James Mathias rolled one through the goaltender and in. Just over 11 minutes later, Omar Mullan popped home a rebound bringing the Wild even at 2-2. Brett Gervais then scored putting the Ice Dogs back on top at 3-2. The game moved through the third period with no scoring and few shots on either goal. Boxscore
