Former NAHL, Magicians goalie Saville signs NHL contract
Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced that the team has signed former NAHL and Minnesota Magicians goaltender Isaiah Saville to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Saville finished his collegiate career at the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a record of 38-36-5 to go with a 2.78 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage in 82 games. This season with the Mavericks, he appeared in 30 games and was 16-14-0 to go with a 2.52 GAA and .907 save percentage.
Prior to college, the Anchorage, Alaska native spent the 2017-18 season with the Minnesota Magicians in the NAHL. Saville was one of the league-leaders in goal, posting 21-13-4 record in 41 games played, which included a 2.41 GAA and .927 save percentage. He was named the Midwest Division Goalie of the Year and was named to the All-NAHL 2nd Team and All-NAHL Rookie 2nd Team.
Saville was selected by the Golden Knights in the fifth round (135th overall) during the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
