Generals edge Nordiques on Wednesday, 3-2
Northeast 3 @ Maine 2 – Ryan Gordon had two goals and an assist to lead the Generals to a 3-2 road win in Maine on Wednesday.
The Nordiques opened the scoring less than three minutes into the game as Jack Parker scored his first NAHL goal. The Generals answered later in the period as Gordon netted his 18th goal of the season.
In the 2nd period, the Generals took their first lead of the game at 2-1 as Ryan Corcoran scored his 10th goal of the season. The Nordiques tied the game later in the period as Zion Green scored.
Late in the 3rd period, Gordon would net the game-winner to give the Generals their second straight win as they now are just two points out of the fourth and final playoff spot in the East.
Cullen DeYoung made 38 saves in the win and Avery Sturtz made 37 saves in the loss.
